We, at Pacific Coast Canvas offer custom marine canvas solutions to the boating industry. Each of our projects are meticulously designed and fabricated right here in San Diego and will meet the highest of expectations using the best materials available to the industry.
Solarfix 2400 Thread - For Starters, we only use Solarfix 2400 thread. The best in the industry. Solarfix Thread is guaranteed to last. Made of 100% PTFE (PolyTetraFlouroEthylene) fiber, which is a synthetic thread that is totally unaffected by sunlight or nature's harsh elements.
Sunbrella Marine Grade Fabric - We use a variety of fabrics in our projects, depending on the customers choice. However, most projects include the solution dyed acrylic fabric known as sunbrella. it's a soft, breathable acrylic fabric that is UV, water and mildew resistant. There are many grades available, which will be decided upon during the design phase of any project.
Stamoid Marine Fabric - from Serge Ferrari are high-quality, water-repellent, vinyl-coated fabrics. They take the spot as one of the most popular vinyl fabrics used on super yachts..
Stamoid’s powerful UV resistance protects against damage from sun exposure. The fabric’s lasting resistance to shrinkage sets it apart from other brands in the marine fabric market. The material performs optimally even in extreme temperatures. The mildew-resistant marine fabrics are easy to clean, fold away, and stow. Better yet, all it takes to clean Stamoid fabrics is mild soap and water to keep them in top condition.
Herculite Marine Grade Vinyl - Perfect for bimini tops, enclosures, and boat tops, Herculite Riviera Marine Fabric comes in several neutral shades. Dimensionally stable, it won't stretch or shrink. Made of UV-resistant composite vinyl, this water-repellent fabric features an embossed texture for a matte, linen appearance. Its exclusive Rain Kleen® finish prolongs the fabric's service life.
StrataGlass - includes a highly engineered premium coating technology that enhances clear visibility. The coating makes the product resistant to minor scratches and swirl marks that are common to clear vinyl products. Strataglass offers additional UV resistance to protect the boat, passengers and furnishings from the sun's harmful rays.
Polycarbonate - When the project dictates a rigid window that provides a "glass-like" transparency, we usually use a polycarbonate material. Makrolon or Monogal polycarbonate are known for their outstanding impact strength, superior dimensional stability, excellent thermal resistance and low-temperature toughness.
AquaGlass - Impact modified acrylic sheet manufactured specifically for the semi-rigid marine enclosure market. This product offers excellent clarity, dimensional stability and superior weathering performance for high end enclosures. AquaGlass helps extend your season no matter where your hauling port is.
Stainless Steel - We typically use 1" 304 and 316 stainless steel in our projects, however on smaller jobs, 7/8" material will sometimes be preferred.
From simple repairs, to complex enclosures, we dedicate the time necessary to provide you with a finished product that is made to the highest standards.
